Bringing Hope, Health, and Healing to Ijebu-Ode

On the 1st and 2nd of August 2024, Grace & Manna embarked on a mission of love and service, inspired by the words of Luke 10:27: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”  At the heart of our outreach is the belief that every life is precious and deserving of care, dignity, and compassion.

Venue: Itoro Hall, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Nigeria

Time: 8:00 am–4:00 pm

Over the course of two days, hundreds of residents from the local community of Ijebu-Ode gathered at Itoro Hall, seeking not only medical support but also connection, hope, and healing. This outreach was more than an event—it was a testament to the transformative power of collective effort and unwavering compassion.

What We Offered

With a team of 50 dedicated volunteers mobilized by Grace & Manna, we provided free services to address both physical and spiritual well-being. Our outreach included:

1. Prayer and Counseling: Offering emotional and spiritual support to uplift hearts and minds.

2. Blood Sugar Screening: Detecting early signs of diabetes and guiding participants toward healthier lifestyles.

3. Blood Pressure Screening: Promoting awareness of hypertension to prevent severe health complications.

4. Health Education: Empowering individuals with knowledge to make informed health decisions.

5. Malaria Screening: Addressing one of the most common health challenges in Nigeria.

6. HIV Screening: Providing confidential testing and education to support community health.

7. Hepatitis Screening: Detecting and addressing this silent but serious health threat.
