Our History

Grace and Manna Inc. Launched on August 24, 2023

Our Humble Beginning – Our Success Stories

Our first encounter was with Samuel and Naomi, a couple who have had difficulty bearing children. They could not afford the recommended treatment. Grace and Manna agreed to pay for their treatment which was initially scheduled at one of the university government hospitals. After months of delay due to unnecessary bureaucracy, the board helped identify a private hospital in Lagos where she is currently receiving treatment. She looks forward to giving her testimony.

Our team was privileged to meet a four-year-old girl Esther, who was blind from birth, through another health fair program in Ondo State, southwestern part of Nigeria. The board members agreed to assist her financially. Within 6 months, cataract surgery was done on both eyes and she has recovered her sight. Watch this

A 52-year-old man, Femi was almost crippled after an accident and was unable to pay his hospital bills. He managed his fractured leg locally but continued to have difficulty walking and remained in pain. Grace and Manna board members arranged surgery for him at a hospital in Lagos, Nigeria, and he is making remarkable progress. Hear from him:

Akin had an orthopedic-related health issue. Grace and Manna paid fully for Akin investigations and the initial treatment. The organization also provided counseling for Akin to continue the follow-up care of his other chronic ailments at the nearby General Hospital.

Grace and Manna Inc. established a relationship with an ophthalmologist, Dr. Opeyemi Komolafe, to handle all the medical consultations, procedures, and special care needed to assist Esther, the 4-year-old patient. Dr. Komolafe has since been an asset to Grace and Manna’s objectives and he continues to assist us in a consulting role with our patients around Ondo State, providing referrals to doctors in other specialties as required by them.

STATEMENT FROM DR. KOMOLAFE

GRACE AND MANNA INC. A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION

I am a practicing Ophthalmologist with TOMISIN SPECIALIST EYE CLINIC located in Akure, Nigeria. My facility was introduced to Grace and Manna Inc. by one of my mentors who was contacted when the Organization required the service of an ophthalmologist to handle the case of a four year old girl with a bilateral developmental cataract. The patient was identified during a health outreach program organized by another organization in our area.

This marked the beginning of our relationship with Grace and Manna Inc. about 6 months ago.  Grace and Manna Inc. provided full sponsorship for the surgical operation of the two eyes of the patient and also funded the preoperative investigations including the Pediatric Cardiologist evaluation. Since then, our facility has been serving as a referral center for Grace and Manna Inc for assessment and care of patients with other medical problems, and we help to source for specialists in other fields of medicine to assess and treat such patients.

We have been able to successfully source for Akin’s needs who had Orthopedic related health issue. The Organization paid fully for Akin’s investigations and the initial treatment and provided the necessary counseling for the patient to continue the follow up care of his other chronic ailment at the nearby General Hospital.

One of the things that endeared me to Grace and Manna Inc is the promptness with which they respond to requests. In the 6 months that I have been associated with the organization, I am really impressed with their mode of operation.

I do hope that the organization will continue to help the less privileged people, who ordinarily would be unable to pay for their medical bills.

NEXT ACTION

God willing, Grace and Manna Inc. will be in Ijebu Ode, western Nigeria in August 2024 for a Health Fair Program to identify those who have complex medical conditions and need immediate attention. As we screen to identify their medical necessities, we will also care for some basic medical problems before they become serious health matters. We have started to gather a strong and committed medical team to assist with the outreach.

Please join us as you donate towards this outreach. We will also appreciate donations of medical supplies. Most importantly, join our prayer team, praying for a successful and effective mission. May you be richly blessed as you respond.
